Holidays and mental illness

Halloween has passed, Christmas is coming. The fine food in between makes my tummy a-rumbling. Thanks giving is coming up and I can't wait to be a gluten for a day and have an excuse. Thanks giving is the most yummy holiday of all.
Alright, enough with trying to say something nice about whatever holiday it is. We have so many holidays I could post every day on a holiday. Its time for a little action (or maybe not). Speaking of not action, a funny thing happened to me about a year ago. The youth in our church were going up to the mountains for a retreat. On the way we stopped at McDonald's (I advise you all to stay far away from that place). We ordered our food and walked over to get our drinks. (If you're familiar with fast food places then you'll know that there are two types of soda dispensers, the kind you push with your finger and the kind you push with your cup.) It so happened that it was the kind that you push with your cup. I turned to my brother and jokingly began to poke a sticker on the machine.
"The soda's not coming out." I said in the dumbest voice I could.
Just then the lady standing next turned and pushed down the cup button.
"It works like this," she said. "Now you try. Very good!"
She must of thought I was mentally ill. I played along then walked over to our table. As we left the lady waved goodbye and I gave the worst smile ever. I doubt she's figured it out yet.

Little frog

Little frog, I love thee. Little frog, oh can't you see. If not then you must be blind. Watch out or you might get bit in the behind. Little frog, sitting so still. Little frog, on little hill. I watch you from the trees above. Watch out! Here comes a dove.
The dove got him.

I'm back and I'm armed

It's been a long time since I've posted anything. It certainly feels better to be back. In my older posts I used to show pictures made by a pencil and my hand. I still draw and my style has improved greatly, but lately I've been.... picturing something else. As you can see by the picture above I've gotten into amateur photography. This is one of my favorite pictures I have taken. I did nothing to the colors and I didn't crop it. This is 100% fresh off the camera.
Nature is a wonderful gift from God. Without it the world would not only be nothing, but it would be a lot less beautiful. I've found myself stumbling into its wonders and I am compelled to shoot it. At first I thought it meant I was supposed to pull out my shotgun and run havoc. But then I shot it with a different weapon, a camera. Since then I've been taking pictures like there's no tomorrow. To bad the computer is getting loaded with so many photos.

Praise God the Almighty

Well, I don't have a picture for this post. Sorry to disappoint. But this time I want to talk about something I love very much. My Lord Jesus. Boy am I thankful to God for helping me through the struggles of sin. I'm sure all of you (anyone who reads my blog) has had those times in their lives when sin is really weighing them down. In my personal experience, it feels like I've been crushed and defeated. But thank the Lord for coming into my life and giving me strength to walk in the right direction. As most of you know (that is mostly the people who read my blog) I am not a very serious guy. But as I'm sure we've all witnessed God does things in our lives that we wouldn't think possible. So praise the Lord. He is watching over all of us. And he is holding each one of us in his mighty hands. And he will not let us go.

Matt, back in action

Hello my fellow bloggers/friends/test dummies. Its been a LONG time. But as you can see, I've been back in time for a while. It wasn't until resently that I was able to fix my time machine. I probably would have posted earlier, but I accidentally came back a few months later then I was expecting. While we're on the line of back in time, I also visited the middle ages. I was so excited I forgot to take any pictures. So, anyway, I went all over the place and I never saw one stinkin dragon. Or a good smelling one either!!! This can only mean that all thoes books I've read have been lying! SOMEONE SHOULD SUE THEM!!!!! Well, the good thing is I'm back. Now excuse me, I have to go talk to my lawyer.
